CM Vijay announces the Annapooranai Super Six scheme, under which around 1.3 crore families will receive three free LPG cylinders annually from Pongal (January 14).

The government will directly credit the cylinder cost to eligible beneficiaries, including families earning below β‚Ή2.5 lakh, small and marginal farmers, differently-abled families and other vulnerable groups. The scheme is expected to cost about β‚Ή4,000 crore annually.
