๐จDelhi Police Special Cell has arrested Mohammad Sahil and his wife Sameera for allegedly assisting a Pakistan-based espionage network.
Police said the couple came in contact with Pakistani intelligence operatives through social media in 2024.
They allegedly sent 8 Indian SIM cards to Pakistan via Dubai, receiving around โน30,000, with the SIMs allegedly used to operate WhatsApp accounts and gather sensitive information.
Sahil was also allegedly tasked with recruiting people to conduct reconnaissance of military cantonments and collect information on Army personnel.
Two mobile phones containing alleged incriminating chats with Pakistani handlers were recovered.
