A Rajkot couple, Ramesh and Bharti Chavda, allegedly died by suicide at their garlic-processing unit on October 26 amid claims of relentless harassment over loans.
According to the police complaint, the couple had borrowed around โน10 lakh but faced further demands despite reportedly repaying substantial sums.
Police have booked several moneylenders on charges including abetment to suicide and extortion, and are investigating the allegations.
