Haryana’s Government Healthcare System Faces Doctor Shortage

Doctors are leaving Haryana’s government hospitals due to heavy workloads, administrative pressure, inadequate facilities and limited career growth.

Nearly 67% of sanctioned posts in eight government medical colleges are vacant—2,572 of 3,843 positions. The shortage is overburdening remaining staff, reducing specialist care and leaving patients struggling for timely treatment.
