INDIA, UZBEKISTAN AGREE ON LONG-TERM URANIUM SUPPLY PACT

India and Uzbekistan have agreed to establish a long-term framework for the supply of uranium to fuel India's expanding civil nuclear energy program. Announced during bilateral talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Tashkent, the agreement coincides with both nations elevating ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and targeting $5 billion in annual bilateral trade by 2030.
