Kerala HC Overturns FCRA Denial Despite Intel Flags; Restores Foreign Funding Licence Of 2 NGOs, Questions Centre
Even after central intelligence agencies flagged two NGOs for allegedly using foreign funds to fuel protests against the strategic Vizhinjam deepwater seaport, the Kerala High Court has set aside the Centreโs decision denying their FCRA renewals.
The court held that peaceful protest cannot be treated as an โundesirable purposeโ under the law and directed authorities to review the cases afresh within three months.
