Pakistan’s donkey-processing industry is expanding in Balochistan to meet China’s demand for donkey meat and hides.

A facility near Gwadar currently processes hundreds of animals daily and plans to reach 800.

The hides are exported for making ejiao, a collagen-based ingredient used in traditional Chinese medicine.
