Peru Governor Candidate Assassinated in Broad Daylight While Campaigning

Peruvian journalist and รncash regional governor candidate Susy Aponte Polo was shot dead on September while campaigning at a market in Caraz.

Five others were reportedly injured, and police detained a suspected shooter. Aponte had previously reported receiving death threats. Authorities are investigating the motive.
