Stand-up comedian Masoom Rajwani was detained by Mumbai Police on Sunday while attending a candlelight vigil at Dadar’s Chaityabhoomi for IIT Bombay student Sahil Wakode, who died by suicide last month.

Police said the gathering lacked the required permission. Around 140 people were detained across two separate protests in Mumbai.
