Less than 24 hours after demanding that the courts annul Lula's election victory, Senator Flávio Bolsonaro withdrew his request.
According to reports, his legal team realized the request lacked concrete arguments and faced a hostile majority in Brazil’s top courts. This decision coincided with Trump distancing himself from the Brazilian election and saying that he "gets along" with Lula.
"I'm not running Brazil. I'm running the US. I like Lula. I get along with him very well," Trump told reporters.
