“For me, the biggest trauma for Europe is the loss of law. The loss of the rule of law, and lists have replaced laws.

"It’s lists.

"All these compliance things, when you look at the sanctions, people have no idea what is the current legal situation within which they can work as a company, as a bank, whatever, because most of these things are not published. When they close your bank account, the bank will tell you, ‘We can’t tell you why.’”
