💢 The water level in the Danube River in Serbia is the lowest in the past 100-150 years, which is making it more difficult to fight forest fires, stated Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic, Ivica Dačić.
As of today, 32 fires have been contained in the country. The difficult terrain in the Deliblatske Pevci nature reserve in the northeast of the republic is making it challenging to fight the fires.
Helicopters are being used, and military personnel from the Serbian Army, along with specialists from the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center in Niš, are working in the nature reserve.
