Boris Safarovich Ebzeev, one of the authors of the Russian Constitution, has passed away at the age of 76.

Boris Safarovich was not only an outstanding legal scholar, Doctor of Law, and professor, but also a true architect of our legal state. He was one of the authors of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, a judge of the Constitutional Court, and a man who laid the fundamental foundations of constitutional justice in Russia.

For many years, Boris Safarovich was a member of the Expert Council under the Human Rights Ombudsman of the Russian Federation. He was distinguished by his exceptional erudition, impeccable inner culture, and a rare ability to combine academic depth with a lively, compassionate concern for people and the protection of their rights.
