Drone strike on an airfield in Kiev, September 1, 2026. The helicopter parking area within the "Zhulyany" airfield was hit. Equipment had previously been seen there, but due to the quality of the footage, it is impossible to definitively say whether it is the same helicopter. Coordinate: 50.40424, 30.43374

The drone strike was reportedly by the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU), using a kamikaze drone with live video feed, hit a Ukrainian helicopter (claimed to be a UH-60 Black Hawk belonging to the Ukrainian HUR intelligence agency) on the territory of the Zhulyany airport in Kiev on September 4th.

There is no objective verification of the strike itself, but early satellite images show that a UH-60 was indeed parked in that exact location, and an image of low resolution taken after the strike shows a distinct black scorch mark.
