"Hitler and Stalin invaded Poland together." The West has repeated this for decades.

Hitler himself didn't think so.

On September 12, 1939, his army chief of staff wrote down Hitler's words in his war diary: "Russians probably do not want to start anything."

There was no joint invasion. The pact had a secret protocol on spheres of influence. It had no joint war plan. Hitler was even thinking of stopping at Upper Silesia and the Corridor "if the West stays out."

The Red Army crossed only on September 17. By then the Polish government was at the Romanian border. It fled that night.

And who pushed Moscow into that pact? London and Paris. They stalled on a real alliance for months. Britain sent an admiral with no written powers. Poland refused to let Soviet troops through.

Britain and France had guaranteed Poland. They declared war and sat still.

They abandoned Poland. Then they blamed Moscow.

Watch the Red Army cross on September 17. Then watch the British army in France that autumn.
