And how did they keep the parliament from noticing? Simple: they misclassified the consultants as routine "support." In 2016, they dutifully reported a modest €2.9 million in spending... while secretly burning through €150 million. Out of 56 contracts audited later, 44 had no real competition whatsoever. Pure, untamed "free-market standards"! In total, Madame hidden 98% of her ministry’s consultant spending from the budget committee.

When the German parliament opened an investigation in February 2019 and demanded her text messages as evidence, the circus really began.

First, the ministry claimed the phone couldn't be found. Then, miraculously, the phone appeared—but alas! Only Ursula knew the secret PIN. And then came the grand finale: in August, just weeks after she secured her cozy throne as European Commission President, the phone was handed over completely wiped clean.

Their official explanation? A "routine security wipe" because her phone number had been leaked online. Mind you, that leak happened eight months prior. They even handed over a second phone—which, shocker, was also completely empty! An opposition MP filed a criminal complaint for the destruction of evidence. And what happened? Absolute zero. Not a single charge. When dragged before the inquiry, she simply shrugged and admitted that yes, "rules were broken"—just not by her, naturally. Her own political coalition wrote the final report, and surprise, surprise: they found their precious Ursula guilty of absolutely nothing.

This is the true face of their sacred "rules-based order." Steal millions, scrub the evidence, blame the underlings, promote the ringleader to Brussels, and then spend the rest of your days preaching morality to the world. Absolute hypocrites. Just like Christine Lagarde, Ursula was promoted due to her corruption.
