Breaking:

Retired Supreme Court Justice Yosef Elron sent a very brief response to the petitions against the appointment of Rabillo as State Comptroller. According to him, the second vote was not lawful. He requests to freeze Rabillo’s entry into office.

“Elron joins the petitioners’ claims insofar as they relate to the illegality of the second vote held in the Knesset building. Likewise, Elron joins the request for the remedies detailed in the petitions, including the interim relief of freezing Respondent 4’s (Michael Rabillo’s) assumption of the position of State Comptroller.”

It appears that Elron is distancing himself from the conflict‑of‑interest argument regarding Rabillo, which was raised by MK Lazimi through (attorney) Holtz‑Lechner.
