Former Southern Command chief Dan Harel will pay 35,000 shekels to MK Tzvi Sukkot after lying about him in an interview on *Meet the Press*, where he claimed that a battalion and a half had been diverted to guard Sukkot’s sukkah in Huwara on the eve of the massacre.
Judge Mizrahi also rejected the counter‑lawsuit that Harel filed against Sukkot and against Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan.
In the ruling, Judge Mizrahi sharply criticized Harel and made, among others, the following determinations:
