My name is Michal Chal-mish, and I’m one of the founders of the *Hakvutsa* nonprofit organization.
We’ve just launched a special and exciting new project, which I’ll tell you about in a moment—but first it’s important for me to share that for ten years now, *Hakvutsa* has been operating entirely on a volunteer basis, helping families in need all across the country. We receive official referrals from welfare offices and provide assistance with food, furniture, electrical appliances, emotional therapy, and more—always quickly, respectfully, and without bureaucracy.
Since the war began, the number of cases has grown dramatically. In addition to welfare families, we now also support reservists, soldiers, and their families who have fallen into financial distress due to the situation.
Recently, we realized that in order to keep helping everyone, we must expand our circle of donors—so we’ve launched our very first fundraising campaign of a slightly different kind, one that aims to bring a bit of hope and joy into the world of donations:
Anyone who donates from 50 NIS and up receives a ticket for a raffle with prizes generously donated by our suppliers and partners over the years. These include:
a weekend getaway at the Six Senses Shaharut and Gordonia hotels,
a new iPhone or Samsung,
a wet–dry vacuum cleaner, and more.
We believe it’s possible to do good and also receive good…
