The security of Israel's citizens and the safety of our forces stand above all other considerations.
The commanders and soldiers of the IDF have the full backing of the Prime Minister, myself, and the IDF high command—and full freedom of action to operate decisively against any threat: in southern Lebanon, in the Gaza Strip, and wherever necessary to defend the State of Israel.
Our soldiers and commanders act with bravery, neutralize threats, and protect day and night the residents of the north, the south, and all citizens of Israel.
The IDF will remain in the security zone in Lebanon to defend the northern communities, prevent threats, and destroy terrorist infrastructure on the ground and underground.
