Levin, Elkin and Erdan were witnesses in Netanyahu’s cases. Likewise, so were employees in the Prime Minister’s Office and some in the Likud party. Never was it required to forbid Netanyahu from speaking with them for years — only from discussing the content of the testimony.
Public trust in Baharav-Miara and her team, regarding political impartiality, is not at its peak after a series of failures in the High Court of Justice. When she effectively seeks to remove the key figure in the Likud campaign through an extremely unusual measure, it is puzzling (or perhaps not).
