Message from the State Attorney’s Office

The State Attorney’s Office today submitted to the Tel Aviv District Court a notice of amendment to the security indictment filed against Eli Feldstein and reservist Ari Rosenfeld, for stealing secret and sensitive information from IDF Intelligence systems and publishing it in the German newspaper “Bild.”
The amended indictment includes the addition of Jonathan Urich, who serves as the Prime Minister’s personal communications adviser, as a defendant, the correction of the factual section and corresponding legal provisions, as well as the addition of prosecution witnesses. Urich is charged with offenses of delivering secret information with intent to harm state security, delivering secret information, possessing secret information, and destroying evidence. The filing of the indictment was approved by the Attorney General and the State Attorney.
At the same time, the prosecution requests that restrictive conditions be set for Urich until the conclusion of the proceedings, including full removal from the Prime Minister’s Office and from any security facility or place where secret information may be held; and a prohibition on any direct or indirect contact with anyone involved in the affair, including witnesses and suspects.
