The Democrats’ new directive: Tweet less, don’t hurt the bloc
Is the Democrats party changing its strategy following the recent controversies associated with it? Yesterday, a campaign meeting was held with the party’s candidates.
They were instructed to change course—shifting from a party-focused approach to a bloc-wide one. According to sources close to the party, they were reprimanded because their remarks had hurt the bloc on its right flank, including comments made by Moshe Radman and Gaby Lasky following the deadly terrorist attack in Kafr Tal.
“Many of our statements undermine our ability to attract disillusioned supporters of the current coalition who want to switch sides, and they are damaging the bloc,” the candidates were told.
According to those present, they were instructed to focus less on the Israeli-Palestinian issue. They were also asked not to comment on events without the campaign’s approval and, as a general rule, to post less on social media.
The Democrats did not deny the report and issued the following statement: “The Democrats’ slate was invited to Beit Berl as part of the ‘I Will Not Be Silent Because My Country Has Changed Its Face’ campaign.
“The Democrats will fight for a Jewish and democratic state. We will repeal the laws of the judicial overhaul, return the army to defending the borders rather than protecting rioters in Judea and Samaria, and ensure that public funds support those who serve rather than those who evade service.”
