The home that was always open to everyone has burned to the ground!
About two months ago, a fire destroyed the home of Yehuda and Ilana Shimon from Havat Gilad, parents of ten children.
For years, the Shimon family’s home was a welcoming place for soldiers, visitors, and anyone who needed a kind word, a warm meal, or a place to sleep. Now, the family that was always there to give to others needs our help.
Their home, clothing, cherished memories, the children’s belongings, and Yehuda’s office—which was the family’s source of income—were all reduced to ashes. An entire family was left without a home or basic necessities, but with a strong spirit and hope for a new beginning.
We have launched an emergency fundraising campaign to help the family rebuild a roof over their heads, purchase essential supplies, restore their home, and reestablish their source of income.
Now it’s our turn to open our hearts to them and help them shine once again.
