The Itim organization petitioned the chair of the Central Elections Committee, demanding the disqualification of Shas’s No. 6 candidate for the Knesset, Amos Dror, who also serves as the appointed head of the Haifa Religious Council. The organization claims that he failed to resign at least 100 days in advance, as required by law. It is also demanding that he be placed on unpaid leave immediately.
