The Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) has uncovered a serious terror plot:
During May and June 2026, five suspects from the town of Segev Shalom were arrested on suspicion of planning terrorist activities and establishing an armed battalion in the town, inspired by the militant battalions operating in the West Bank.
The cell members planned to carry out various types of terrorist attacks, including a shooting attack against the police station in Segev Shalom and a stabbing and shooting attack at the central bus station in Beersheba.
