Good morning from Eidfjord, Norway!
After a rough day at sea that forced us to skip Haugesund, we arrived safely at this beautiful port for sightseeing, kayaking, and other activities.
We are looking forward to continuing our exploration of Ezekiel this evening, as Pastor Barry takes us through chapters 38 and 39. Tomorrow morning, I will wrap up our study with chapters 40-48, and we will conclude our conference with an evening Q&A and farewell gathering.
As the poet wrote, “My heart is in the East, and I am in the West.”
Though I am far from home, I can feel the uplifted spirits in Israel following the miraculous deliverance of those aboard flydubai flight FZ1073. Many are acknowledging this extraordinary rescue as an act of God’s grace, working through the remarkable courage of the passengers and crew.
That is why I am so excited about tonight’s teaching. We will examine a far greater divine intervention, when God delivers Israel from the coming attack of an evil coalition.
But acknowledging God’s intervention is not the same as turning to Messiah Yeshua in repentance and faith. Miracles should direct our hearts to the One who performs them.
I believe Scripture points to Israel’s national salvation in connection with Messiah Yeshua’s physical return to the Mount of Olives at the end of the seven-year Tribulation. The people will look upon the One whom they pierced, mourn, and recognize their Messiah.
Until then, individual Jewish people can turn to Him today, have the veil lifted from their eyes, and be saved. That is why we must never stop praying for them and sharing the gospel with them!
As we await the rapture of the church before the Tribulation, every Jewish person who comes to faith now shares that blessed hope. The coming time of distress will be devastating. Zechariah describes two-thirds in the land being cut off and dying, while the remaining third is brought through the fire and calls upon the Lord.
These are people, not merely numbers. Each life matters. Each soul is precious.
May God give us the courage to stand for the truth and boldly share the message of Messiah Yeshua with His people!
