Iran announced the cessation of the military operation – but threatens a harsher response if the attacks continue.

The "Khatam al-Anbiya" Command, the supreme operational headquarters of the armed forces in Iran, announced that Iran has given, according to it, a "painful response" to Israel following the attacks in southern Lebanon and the Dahieh area in Beirut.

The official statement claimed that the action was carried out as part of support for the Lebanese people, and that Israel and its partners were supposed to "learn lessons" from the Iranian response.

Alongside this, Iran announced the cessation of the current military activity but emphasized that if Israel continues its military actions, especially in southern Lebanon, "much harsher and crushing" actions are expected in the future.

The statement conveys a dual message: on one hand, an attempt to present the current round as ending, and on the other hand, an explicit threat of significant escalation in case the conflict continues.
