Joint Statement from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Minister of Defense Israel Katz:

Following the instructions of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense, the Israel Defense Forces have now destroyed the underground infrastructure of the Hezbollah terrorist organization in the Ali al-Taher mountain range, thereby completing the establishment of a security zone in southern Lebanon.

This is a strategic terrorist infrastructure that was built over two decades, funded and planned by Iran. The terrorist infrastructure and command center in the mountain range were intended to serve as a base for the conquest of the Galilee and to provide observation and fire control over Metulla and Kiryat Shmona. Its destruction completes the achievement of operational control over the Ali al-Taher mountain range, both above and below ground.
