The investigation into the alleged flydubai terror plot is widening. Two additional copilots employed by the airline have been arrested on suspicion of involvement.

The Maldivian embassy in the United Arab Emirates informed their families that the two men, both Maldivian citizens, had been detained as part of the investigation.

Investigators found that they knew the principal suspect well, worked alongside him at flydubai, and even lived in the same residential building.

As part of their regular duties with the airline, both had also flown to Israel.

Security agencies are continuing to examine the findings. The exact nature of their alleged connection to the terror network and the specific suspicions against them remain under investigation.

A disturbing development, especially given their access to passenger aircraft and their previous flights to Israel.
