The UN has become a joke.
China sits on the Human Rights Council. In 2025, Saudi Arabia’s ambassador chaired the Commission on the Status of Women. In 2024, Iran held the rotating presidency of the Conference on Disarmament – a body whose agenda includes nuclear disarmament.
These are the facts. The UN should ask itself what message they send to the people these bodies are meant to serve.
