Until the last few days, the negotiations had in fact reached a stage where only a few phrases remained unresolved in certain parts of the text.

With the completion of those remaining points, there was a widespread belief among all of us that an agreement would soon be reached.

However, we have seen that the reciprocal attacks that began two days ago carry a risk of escalation. This is genuinely a cause for concern for us.

We recommend that the parties cease their mutual offensives and attacks as soon as possible, return to the negotiating table, and finalize the text that they were so close to completing.

We have all witnessed and experienced that the escalation of the war, the increase in tensions, and a return to an all-out war environment benefit no one.
