WE NEED ANOTHER MIRACLE
As odd as it might sound, Israel’s most remarkable military achievements over the past three years came despite its military’s top command, not because of it.
It has been known for years that commanders at the lower and middle levels are true fighters. The top command, however, has been infected by the progressive, liberal, and globalist virus, generously injected by foreign foundations through overseas educational programs.
The sad reality is that, for years, Israel was a military with a country. Finally, it is becoming a country with a military. No wonder some of the government’s fiercest critics today are retired generals.
That reality began to change after October 7, when the prime minister stopped accepting the generals’ proposals as the only possible course of action. He believed in the soldiers more than their own generals did.
Had it been up to these generals, Hamas would still control most of Gaza, including the main weapons-smuggling routes from Egypt through Rafah. Sinwar would still be alive, toying with the fate of hostages left to rot in Gaza’s dungeons.
The pager operation that marked the beginning of Hezbollah’s downfall would never have happened. Southern Lebanon would still be full of Hezbollah terrorists answering to their still-living secretary-general, Hassan Nasrallah. The military campaigns against Iran would probably never have happened either.
These generals - one of whom is now running for prime minister - were willing to accept a nuclear Iran.
Israel is a miracle not only because the desert came back to life, the dry bones came back to life, and an ancient language came back to life.
Israel is also a miracle because, for so long, these generals effectively ran the country, and somehow we still survived.
And now the media is working hard to promote their return to power, putting all these recent achievements at risk.
I guess we need another miracle next week!
WE NEED ANOTHER MIRACLE As odd as it might sound, Israel’s most remarkable military achievements ove
