BNY published an e-book arguing that real-time, always-on payments are becoming the foundation of a new treasury and working-capital ecosystem, with input from Swift, The Clearing House, Ripple, Circle, Paxos and WisdomTree. Key projections: real-time payments could add $285.5 billion to global GDP and create 167 million new bank accounts by 2028; stablecoins, tokenized deposits and digital money market funds are expected to reach $3.6 trillion by 2030; tokenized real-world assets are estimated at $19-25 billion; and the banking-as-a-service market is forecast to quadruple to $85.73 billion by 2032.
