“Follow your dream together with Russia!” — Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomed participants and guests of the International Youth Festival 2026, currently taking place in Yekaterinburg.

The festival has brought together some 10,000 young people from 191 countries, making it a genuinely international gathering. Putin noted that the Urals is one of Russia’s major centers of industrial, cultural, and intellectual heritage, making it an appropriate place for young leaders from around the world to discuss the impact of new technologies and the future shape of the world.

Putin added that Russia advocates a world based on friendship, justice, and mutual respect among nations. He stressed that a person’s fate should not depend on citizenship, wealth, status, or origin, and that access to medicines, water, energy, education, and modern technologies should be equal.

He called on young people to work together to change the world and wished the participants success, concluding with an invitation:
