Job Vacancy – Network Engineer
Al-Taawon Company is looking for a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our IT team.
The successful candidate will support, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot the company’s Data Center and Internal Network Infrastructure, with a focus on Cisco Nexus, Cisco Catalyst, MikroTik, routing, redundancy, and network migration.
Key Responsibilities
Support the migration from Cisco Catalyst 3850 to Cisco Nexus switch within the Data Center.
Analyze and work with Cisco Catalyst configurations, including VLANs, Trunking, SVI, HSRP, OSPF, STP, EtherChannel/LACP, and Routing.
Prepare, configure, and test Cisco Nexus switches for production migration.
Configure and support vPC, HSRP, SVI, OSPF, and Layer 2/Layer 3 routing.
Configure Port-Channel/LACP and support 10G/40G connectivity.
Support redundant server connectivity, including Dual NIC, NIC Teaming, LACP, and Dual-Homed Servers.
Participate in network migration, testing, and rollback activities while minimizing service interruption.
Troubleshoot network issues and support rapid service restoration when required.
Maintain network diagrams, configurations, IP addressing, VLAN databases, and technical documentation.
Coordinate with Server, Security, Infrastructure, and other IT teams on network and Data Center activities.
Required Experience & Qualifications
2–3 years of hands-on experience in network infrastructure and administration.
Practical experience with Cisco switches.
Working experience with Cisco Nexus switches.
Experience with MikroTik routers, preferably CCR series.
Good understanding of VLANs, Trunking, STP, HSRP, OSPF, EtherChannel/LACP, and Layer 2/Layer 3 networking.
Understanding of Data Center networking and redundancy concepts.
Experience with network migrations, upgrades, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively with other IT teams.
