The meeting was held under the theme “The UN as a Key Element of a Just World Order: The Contribution of the SCO Plus States to the Formation of a Multipolar World.”
Admittedly, some aspects of the UN's work may not always be to our liking or satisfaction. That being said, I must point out that, in all frankness, it has always been like that — indeed, since the very moment the UN was established. <...> And still, the UN's potential seems to be far from fulfilled, and it is imperative to strive for improving the efficiency of its actions, expand the representation of its institutions — including within the Security Council, where countries from the Global South and East should enjoy a larger role, — and adapt the UN to the evolving circumstances and the fundamental shifts in global politics and the economy.
