The President honoured the memory of the deceased by laying flowers at the coffin and had a brief conversation with his family.
Sergei Ivanov was the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation (2001–2007), Deputy Prime Minister (2008–2011), Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office (2011–2016), and Special Presidential Representative for Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport (2016–2026).
