💰 AI Is Starting To Hit Consumer Prices
The cost of AI infrastructure is no longer affecting just tech companies. It's starting to reach consumers.
Apple has raised prices across several MacBook and iPad models after surging memory chip costs. At the same time, Microsoft announced higher prices for Xbox consoles, citing the same reason.
• MacBook Air: $1,099 → $1,299
• MacBook Pro: $1,699 → $1,999
• iPad Air: $599 → $749
• iPad Pro: $999 → $1,199
Microsoft also increased Xbox prices by up to $150, with the Series X now starting at $799.
As demand for AI hardware keeps pushing memory and chip prices higher, consumers are beginning to pay the bill.
