🚨 Hardware Implant Discovered Inside a Ledger Wallet

Former Mt. Gox CEO Mark Karpelès discovered a hidden SIM card inside a tampered Ledger hardware wallet.

Ledger confirmed an unauthorized hardware implant in a device reportedly sold through its official reseller, CryptoBilis.

The alleged supply chain attack has been linked to $92.9 million stolen from 311 wallets, although the connection between the implant and these losses remains unverified.

Following the discovery, CryptoBilis reportedly stopped selling all hardware wallets, including Ledger, Trezor, Tangem and SafePal.

The case raises concerns about hardware wallet security and the risks of device tampering before products reach customers.
