As of September 7, 2026, approximately 80 ships are waiting in the roadstead at the entrance to the Sulina Canal.
During the period of September 3-6, 8 dry cargo ships passed through the Sulina Canal to Ukrainian ports, averaging two per day.
The waiting time to enter Ukrainian ports is 14-17 days, in Moldovan ports โ 4-7 days, and in Romanian ports โ 3-5 days. In most ports, loading is carried out with Ukrainian agricultural products for export.
Among the reasons for the delays are a shortage of pilots, priority given to fuel shipments, and a limited number of inspectors.
