All flights in the UK have been suspended due to a failure in the air traffic control system.
According to The Telegraph, equipment at the NATS headquarters in Swanwick malfunctioned, leading to disruptions for air traffic controllers.
Arrivals at London Heathrow and Gatwick airports have been suspended until at least 7:00 PM, and there are also reports of delays at Manchester, Stansted, London City, Birmingham, East Midlands, and Belfast City airports. The cause of the technical failure is currently unknown.
✨ Totally coincidentally and unrelated, this occurs a couple of days after Israel threatened UK with "consequences" for its posture on Palestine.
