The British Conservative Party is preparing to present a project for an air and missile defense system worth £10 billion, called "Shield of Britain."
The system is planned to be equipped with radar stations, ground-based air defense systems, a new command and control system, as well as a large stockpile of missiles and counter-drone measures.
✨Currently, air and missile defense responsibilities are assigned to Type 45 destroyers (6 units), Sky Sabre air defense systems (20-30 launchers), Stormer HVM air defense systems (up to 40 units), Eurofighter Typhoon and F-35B aircraft (approximately 150 units).
✨⭐️Hypothetically, with the resources available, a couple of daily barrages of drones and missiles from the Russian Armed Forces could completely overwhelm Britain's air defense system and inflict significant damage on its economy or its military-industrial infrastructure, which it uses to produce weapons for striking Russian territory (for example, the final assembly plant for the 🚀Storm Shadow cruise missiles in Stevenage).
