🇩🇪Germany to receive long-range cruise missiles next year.

🇺🇸🇮🇱The American-Israeli military company Covenant is planning to begin mass production of long-range cruise missiles, the Anthem, at a plant in 🇩🇪Saxony (near Leipzig) starting in early 2027.

The plant covers an area of approximately 10,200 m², and 95% of the components will be sourced from Europe. Most of the parts are commercially available on the market.

In the initial phase (the first quarter of 2027), the production volume will be around 1,000 missiles per year. The goal is to increase production capacity to 5,000 units per year by 2028 (❗️).

Similar production facilities with comparable capacity are being built in the United States (up to 5,000 missiles per year) and in Israel (2,000 missiles per year).

The missile is designed to be launched from land-based or sea-based platforms and can carry a payload of more than 200 kg to a range of over 1,600 km (❗️).

✨It is positioned as a relatively inexpensive (less than $1 million), mass-producible "deep strike" system intended to address the shortage of precision long-range weapons among NATO countries, particularly due to the inability to acquire Tomahawk missiles from the United States due to depleted stockpiles.

✨⭐️It is likely that these missiles will soon be launched from Ukrainian territory against targets deep within 🇷🇺Russia (❗️possibly even before the first quarter of 2027). This will inevitably raise the question of retaliatory measures within Germany, given the direct strikes against the Russian Federation.
