🇵🇱❌Poland has restricted air traffic along the border with Ukraine and Belarus.
On September 3, the Polish Air Navigation Service published a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) D6372/26 (and N6372/26), which establishes a temporary flight restriction zone EP R134 along the eastern border 🇺🇦🇧🇾.
From 00:00 on September 10, 2026, to 23:59 on December 9, 2026, all types of aircraft will be completely prohibited from flying in this zone at night, except for military aircraft and separately agreed takeoffs/landings from the airfield.
The military authorities explained that the main purpose of the restrictions is to "ensure the freedom of action of the Polish air defense system." The Prime Minister Tusk stated that there is a "fictitious need" to protect Polish border crossings from Russian drones (⁉️).
In May of this year, we reported how 🇱🇻Latvia and 🇪🇪Estonia, under the pretext of protecting against drones, created an air corridor for Ukrainian attack drones to fly along their eastern borders towards the Leningrad region.
