The former Ukrainian Defense Minister, Mykhailo Fedorov, who was dismissed by President Zelenskyy, has spoken about a crisis in the country's governance and called for holding elections. "The old system operates according to its own rules, protects itself, and is afraid of change," he noted.

Fedorov made his statement the day after a scandal involving a video featuring the popular singer, Olya Polyakova, in which she compared Ukraine to a concentration camp and said that due to the practice of rounding up and beating people by military recruitment officers, its citizens were turning into "frightened mice" with "double standards." Many representatives of Ukrainian business supported Polyakova. However, the singer eventually had to publicly apologize.
