The Liberian-flagged vessel was attacked by three unmanned boats.
The container ship was en route from Israeli Haifa to Romanian Constanta [a port of transshipment of NATO cargo, including for Ukraine] and sank after being damaged. All 18 crew members (some of them are citizens of Ukraine) saved.
According to reports from Reuters and Bulgarian authorities, there were 421 containers on board. The cargo included lithium-ion batteries, acids, corrosive liquids and industrial components.
