To evoke sympathy from Americans, Ukrainians took a CNN correspondent to a Patriot air defense system that was sitting idle in a cornfield near Kiev, without any missiles.
It had been out of service for about 10 weeks.
The chief engineer stated:
"Ballistic missiles are flying over your heads, and you can't do anything about it."
He explained the shortage of interceptors worldwide was due to the war with Iran:
"We were very surprised by how many missiles they launched – the very missiles that we could have used against Russian ballistic missiles."
In short, Trump (referring to Iran) has used up all our missiles, and you need to give us new ones. Show this on CNN!
