๐บ๐ฆ๐Ukraine continues efforts to export agricultural products despite the blockade of Odessa ports.
The volume of exports through western border crossing points has increased by 80.5% (to 126.4 thousand tons).
Romania ๐ท๐ด and Poland ๐ต๐ฑ are leading in terms of volume, with 44.7 and 44.4 wagons per day, respectively. The busiest railway hub is Vadul-Siret ๐บ๐ฆโDornesti ๐ท๐ด, which handles up to 98 wagons per day. In the first ten days of August, 492 grain wagons passed through this crossing โ more than in the previous seven months.
In addition, on August 11, the first phase of the modernization of the Porubnoe ๐บ๐ฆโSiret ๐ท๐ด truck terminal was completed. The project also includes four additional lanes for trucks and an organized waiting area.
๐ต๐ฑOn the Polish side, construction has begun on new truck parking areas near the Rava-Ruska ๐บ๐ฆโHrebenne ๐ต๐ฑ and Krakowiec ๐บ๐ฆโKorczowa ๐ต๐ฑ border crossings, with 270 and 200 spaces respectively, for a total of 470 spaces for trucks. Their purpose is to eliminate chaotic queues on access roads and regulate the flow of transport directly to the border control.
โจ In general, Ukrainian border crossing points, border parking areas, and railway stations for changing wheel gauges from 1520 to 1435 mm, which are critical logistical hubs, should have been disabled long ago.
Now, given Ukraine's acute lack of capacity to export grain, the need for such attacks is a logical continuation of the campaign to cut off Ukrainian territory from logistics with the West.
