Construction of backup crossings across the Dnieper—in the form of earthen causeways—is set to begin in Kiev next week.
This was announced by Infrastructure Minister Kalashnik.
The crossings are intended to provide at least half of the current traffic capacity.
The project will take up to three months to complete.
Authorities are even considering the construction of a tunnel beneath the Dnieper.
